Our Story

Greetings from The Tulip Poplar where a husband & wife team create, inspire and repurpose. Vintage, vintage-inspired, and repurposed home fashions become treasured heirloom pieces in your home. Occasionally we have been known to call on friends and grown kids to join in the fun! The Tulip Poplar is a small mom & pop store located in Southern Indiana with roots to Louisville, KY.

Why are vintage Christmas Trees our muse? It all began in the '70's when Grandma Libby gifted a hand glazed ceramic tree to Stacy's parents. Stacy & her brother Chris enjoyed the tree each year and had been known to tease about who would put the star on top! The tree is still the centerpiece of Christmas for Stacy & her family to enjoy each year.
